This session will focus on successful teaching and learning while reading continuous texts during Early and Mid Level Reading Recovery lessons. We will begin with a review of Marie Clay’s complex literacy processing theory. Then shift to video examples of successful teaching and learning interactions during familiar reading and the new book introduction and first reading. This session will offer opportunities to submit questions and have time for sharing responses.

This session is appropriate for all levels of Reading Recovery and Literacy Lesson Educators
